A slot on 31 December does not establish that delivery will also be available on 1 January.
New Year’s Day can operate under different bank-holiday arrangements, and ASDA does not guarantee delivery throughout the festive period.
If your goal is food for New Year’s Day, it may be more practical to reserve a 30 or 31 December delivery and choose products whose storage and use-by instructions suit your plans.
Why New Year Slots Can Be Limited
The days around New Year combine several pressures: Christmas deliveries have only recently finished, colleague schedules can change, stores are operating festive hours and customers are shopping for New Year’s Eve gatherings.
The number of slots available for your address therefore depends on the local fulfilment operation rather than a national promise of a fixed number of New Year bookings.

If home-delivery slots are full, check whether grocery collection is available from a suitable local ASDA.
Collection uses its own capacity and booked time windows. An available supermarket opening time does not mean you can collect an order without a slot.
